Church History
The Sold Out Truthful Ministry began in the spring of 2004, in the Douglass
Community, while seeking the Lord, Pastor, Carla Edwards, was led by the Holy
Spirit to go out into the community and preach the Word of God. She obeyed
the voice of the Lord, to move forward with her ministry. While out
ministering, many souls came to hear the Word. Some came out of curiosity,
others out of need, and after hearing, they were fill with the Holy Ghost, and
knew a Man named Jesus.
After not having a place to minister, the Lord lead Pastor Carla Edwards to
began ministering from her home. There she made her den the sanctuary.
Two months after souls saved, set free and delivered, the Lord wanted Pastor
Edwards to have a Women Conference. The Conference was a huge success.
The same night of the Conference, the Lord put on her heart to move on to a
higher level in the Ministry.
On January 2, 2005, the Lord told her it is time to start her church from home.
Pastor Carla Edwards met Bishop Hable Parker who became her spiritual
mentor. Bishop Parker was very impressed about the great work that Pastor
Edwards was doing in the community, reaching out to lost souls. After Bishop
Parker and his wife Evangelist Mary Parker started fellowshipping with the
outreach Ministry. God spoke to his Spirit telling him that Pastor Edwards had
been commission to go forth and preach the gospel; he installed her on
February 15, 2005 as Pastor of the Sold Out Truthful Ministry where she serves
faithfully. In June of 2006, Pastor Edwards was lead to a small building just off
the corner of Chelsea and Warford, an old cleaners building. The vision came
to her for a church in that building and that is where Sold Out Truthful
Ministries is located today, 2960 Chelsea Ave, Memphis, Tenn., 38108.
We want to extend an open door to you when ever you are in the area again.
We are a ministry on the move. Our mission is “reaching the lost, one soul at a
time”, and we do this through our Outreach Ministries. Please come and join us
